Assigning Emails

You can have email sent automatically to your customers (or yourself) when they perform common actions, such as:

• Sending a receipt
• Welcoming members to a site
• Informing customers that their rebilling succeeded
• Informing customers that their rebilling failed

Here's briefly how to assign emails to events and a description of the options on this page. For more information on configuring the email system, please refer to our complete email system documentation. You can find this by access the Developer Docs page under Documentation.

• Choose SETUP EMAILS
• Enter the To, From and BCC addresses
• Choose the emails to attach

Here's how to assign emails to events if you have multiple web sites on the NETbilling system:

• Choose SETUP
• Under Web Sites, click BROWSE SITES
• Choose your site
• Click [EMAIL]
• Enter the To, From and BCC addresses
• Choose the emails to attach

Options

• config site - This link takes you to the Site Config page for this website. Click here for more information about Site Config.
• eventlog - This link takes you to the event log for this website. Click here for more information about the event log.
• remove site - removes this website from your account.
• Click here to create templates to use below - takes you to the email editor. For more information about the email editor, click here.

Email templates sent to merchant

Emails that you will receive as different transactions and events happen are described below. Simply choose the email you want sent from the pop-up menu next to the event and click Apply at the bottom of the page.

• To - Your email address, or where you want the emails sent.
• Standard receipt - Sent every time a successful transaction is completed.
• Decline notice - Sent every time a declined transaction is completed.
• Rebilling receipt - Sent every time a successful rebilling transaction is completed.
• Rebilling failure - Sent every time a failed rebilling transaction is completed.
• Member resignation - Sent every time a member from your site uses the member cancellation page to resign their subscription.

Email templates sent to customer

Emails that your customers will receive as different transactions and events happen are described below. Simply choose the email you want sent from the pop-up menu next to the event and click Apply at the bottom of the page.

• From - The email address you want the email to appear it came from. This should be a real email address that customers with questions could reply to to get customer support from your staff.
• Bcc - An optional email address that the customer emails would be blind carbon copied to.
• Standard receipt - Sent every time a successful transaction is completed.
• Decline notice - Sent every time a declined transaction is completed.
• Member welcome - Sent every time a new member is added to your website.
• Rebilling receipt - Sent every time a successful rebilling transaction is completed.
• Rebilling failure - Sent every time a failed rebilling transaction is completed.
• Member resignation - Sent every time member from your site uses the member cancellation page to resign their subscription.
