Customizing the Payment Form

Setup >> Site Tools > Form Editor

NETbilling's payment form allows you to change the content of your payment form. You can collect basic or detailed information about your customers, require that customers enter everything you request, or ask for the information, but take payment even if they leave it blank. The choice is yours.

Take a look at how easy it is to customize your payment form.

• Choose SETUP
• Under WEBSITE TOOLS click FORM EDITOR
• Under the ACTION popup menu, choose EDIT - [Name of payment form you wish to change] 
• Click EXECUTE

Each item the payment form can collect is listed.  You can set each of these items to one of a few states.

• Required - The information entered in this field is required and must be entered in order to process the transaction.
• Optional - The information entered in this field is not required for processing but the information will be visible and editable.
• Display only - The information entered in this field is not required for processing and the information will be visible but not editable.
• Hidden - The field will not be displayed on the form, but it will be collected if sent.
• Not used - The field will neither be displayed nor collected.

NOTE: You should never mark required fields, such as Zip Code or CVV2, when those files are required for transactions to be successful.

Payment form field names can be configured by the user.  This can be very helpful for users trying to integrate an existing shopping cart, because the payment form can be changed to match your existing system instead of the other way around.
